Paraplanner

PLEASE NOTE, THIS ROLE IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN EITHER EDINBURGH OR LONDON.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, forward looking Wealth Management business, who are looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner. Level 4 Diploma is preferred but not essential, so long as you are studying towards it.

You will be supporting a team of 3 High Net Worth Advisers, providing research and report writing support, along with support from an Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, accurate suitability reports
• Carry out detailed research into funds, products and solutions
• Supporting Planners by preparing illustrations, quotations, valuations and client documentation
• Analysing complex financial scenarios and contributing expert input
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes and reflecting these in advice and reporting
• Work collaboratively with Planners and administrators to deliver a consistently high standard of service
• Respond to queries from clients and colleagues in a timely, professional and solutions-focused way.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or financial planning environment
• Diploma-level qualification (or be actively working towards it)
• Strong technical knowledge across areas such as retirement planning, tax, investments and estate planning
• Excellent report-writing skills, with experience producing a wide range of suitability reports
• Confidence using research and back-office systems,
• A high level of attention to detail and a structured, organised approach to your work
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to explain complex ideas clearly
