Accounts Clerk

PERMANENT ACCOUNTS CLERK - Olney (Borders of MK, Bedford & Northampton) - WILL CONSIDER PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME

Seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a range of day-to-day accounting tasks, including:

• Raising purchase orders for suppliers using the inhouse system
• Processing, posting and reconciling supplier invoices and payments using Sage 50
• Raising sales invoices
• Assisting with credit control and debt collection
• Allocating receipts
• Supporting colleagues across the finance team

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a similar accounts role
• Ideally proven experience using Sage 50 or similar
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
• A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments and with external customers and contacts
• Working onsite Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm (no hybrid or remote working available) BUT will consider part-time workers also

Please note you will be subject and should pass an enhanced DBS check, credit check and satisfactory references

What we need from you:

• Can you work in the Olney office, Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm?
• Do you drive and have your own transport or live locally?
• Do you have experience of Purchase AND Sales Ledger?
• Would you pass a credit/DBS/ Reference check?
