Property Underwriter

A financial services organisation in north Bristol is currently recruiting a Property Underwriter to join their team.

This is a newly created role working for a growing business that has just secured significant funding. With further plans for expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to further their career within this field.

Duties will include:

• Assess and underwrite loan applications
• Assess and resolve risk or any issues with applications
• Approve and reject applications in line with policy and mandate
• Recommend loans to Head of Lending where they fall outside of mandate
• Review valuation reports
• Asses credit reports and ensure applications are verified
• Liaise with brokers, borrowers and other professional partners

Previous experience of working in underwriting is essential. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, a decisive decision maker and have excellent time management skills
