Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 DOE

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established, growing independent commercial insurance broker that forms part of a major international insurance group. Having built an excellent reputation for client service across the commercial insurance market, they continue to win significant new business and invest in their specialist teams.

Following continued growth, they're looking to strengthen their Commercial Claims team with either an experienced Claims Handler or a more client-facing Claims Executive. The role can be shaped around the right individual, offering genuine autonomy, career development and exposure to a varied portfolio of commercial clients.

Role Summary:

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded commercial claims team where you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional service to a broad portfolio of corporate and SME clients.

Whether your strengths lie in managing a busy claims caseload or acting as the dedicated claims contact for a portfolio of clients, you'll work across a diverse range of commercial risks while becoming a trusted adviser throughout the claims process.

The team prides itself on delivering outstanding client outcomes and is looking for someone who shares that mindset, someone proactive, collaborative and genuinely passionate about providing an excellent claims experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial insurance claims from first notification through to settlement across a broad range of commercial risks.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and third parties to deliver positive claims outcomes.
• Review policy cover, negotiate settlements and provide technical guidance throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Support clients with complex claims, ensuring clear communication and proactive case management.
• Identify claims trends and contribute towards improving service delivery and client risk management.
• Attend client meetings where required, providing technical claims expertise and strengthening long-term relationships.

Requirements:

• Previous experience handling commercial insurance claims
• Experience gained within a broker, insurer or loss adjusting environment is welcomed
• Good knowledge across commercial classes such as Property, EL, PL and wider commercial claims, less relevant are the motor and financial lines areas
• Strong client communication and relationship management skills
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to deliver outstanding customer service
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a close-knit team
• Acturis experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• CII qualified or working towards qualifications is beneficial but not essential
