Finance Business Partner Location: Oakham, RutlandSalary: £60,000 + Profit-Share Bonus + BenefitsJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeWorking Pattern: Office-basedA growing and well-established company based in Oakham is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will produce the full monthly management accounts while providing commercial insight, financial analysis and strategic support to improve business performance and support continued growth. This is not a purely strategic position. You will remain hands-on with the production of the monthly management accounts while providing the commercial insight, analysis and challenge needed to support senior-level decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Produce the full monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Prepare board reporting packs and present financial performance to senior leaders
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
Provide commercial insight into customer, product and service profitability
Support pricing, costing and margin-improvement initiatives
Partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency and control costs
Manage cash-flow forecasting and working-capital performance
Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting processes
Develop financial models and business cases for investment and growth
Support continuous-improvement, ERP and automation projects
Assist with acquisitions, international expansion and due diligence
Manage and develop a Finance Administrator
The Ideal Candidate
Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment
Able to personally produce a complete set of monthly management accounts
Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance-analysis experience
Commercial finance or business-partnering experience
Experience analysing profitability, margins, costing and operational performance
Confident influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders
Advanced Excel and strong ERP-system knowledge
Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable balancing strategic input with hands-on delivery
Experience with manufacturing accounting, including Bills of Materials, labour costing, inventory accounting and operational variances, would be highly advantageous. Exposure to Power BI, acquisitions, investment appraisals or international business would also be beneficial. What's on Offer
