WSR is recruiting for a Part-Time Bookkeeper on behalf of a friendly and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Olney.

The Role

As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:

• Recording financial transactions accurately
• Coding receipts and purchase invoices through Dext
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Checking balance sheet control accounts
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Contacting clients to obtain the information required
• Communicating confidently with clients through meetings, telephone calls and messages
• Providing proactive support to help clients understand and improve their financial records
• Managing your workload effectively and meeting agreed deadlines
• Participating in regular MS Teams check-ins and weekly team meetings

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a minimum of AAT Level 3
• Have at least three years' experience within a UK accountancy practice or as a self-employed Bookkeeper
• Be confident using Xero, with Dext experience also desirable
• Be able to manage their own workload and work independently
• Have excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
• Enjoy developing strong and lasting client relationships
• Be able to work from the company's office in Olney
