The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership to provide financial rigour, commercial insight, and strategic support.This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for everything from producing management accounts and cashflow reporting through to profitability analysis, forecasting, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in helping the business make better decisions and drive future growth.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management Information
Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports and cashflow statements.
Produce monthly management information packs and financial performance analysis.
Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
Develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
Financial Control & Systems
Maintain and reconcile accounting systems and ERP integrations.
Ensure accurate reconciliation across sales channels and operational systems.
Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
Commercial Finance
Analyse profitability by customer, channel and product category
Support pricing decisions, commercial negotiations and growth initiatives.
Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models.
Evaluate new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Team Support
Manage VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
Lead year-end preparation and support external accountants and auditors.
Support and develop a small finance team member, overseeing credit control activities
The Person
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
Proven experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
Confident producing management accounts and MI packs from first principles.
Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
