An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fast-growing client based in Warrington. They are currently seeking a Payroll & Business Support Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is a varied position that combines payroll, accounts administration, compliance, and customer service responsibilities, making it ideal for somebody who enjoys a diverse role and takes pride in delivering a professional and accurate service.

You will play a key role within the business, ensuring that both hourly paid and salaried employees are paid accurately and on time, while providing first-class support to colleagues, customers, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple payrolls for various sites, ensuring over 250 employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Handling payroll-related queries including tax, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory payments.

  • Carrying out compliance checks to ensure all audit requirements are met.

  • Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding invoices and resolving account queries.

  • Assisting with accounts administration and maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Producing payroll reports, updating spreadsheets, and preparing management information for the senior leadership team and directors.

  • Processing new starter information and ensuring all employee documentation meets compliance standards.

  • Liaising confidently with employees, customers, and management to resolve queries effectively.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

  • Providing general administrative support across the business as required.



The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong eye for detail.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous payroll, accounts, finance, or related administrative experience.

  • Strong administration and organisational skills.

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.

  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A professional telephone manner and excellent customer service skills.

  • The ability to work independently whilst also contributing as part of a busy team.
