Accounts Senior

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a lovely, relaxed independent accountancy practice based in Herne Bay.

This is a varied general practice position where you will manage a portfolio of owner managed businesses, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services. The firm offers a friendly, supportive working environment with an excellent reputation and a genuinely relaxed culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
  
• Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns
  
• Managing a varied portfolio of owner managed business clients
  
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
  
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate
  
• 
  

• Have experience working within an accountancy practice
  
• Be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience
  
• Have a strong understanding of accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and VAT
  
• Be confident communicating directly with clients
  
• Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  
• Enjoy working within a friendly, collaborative environment
