The Opportunity
Part Qualified Management Accountant - Hybrid Working - Study support available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a large, multi-site manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

This role sits at the heart of the operation, providing financial analysis and insight that directly influences business performance. Working closely with finance, operations and site management teams, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing processes and support key commercial decisions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys getting out into the business rather than sitting behind a spreadsheet all day. You'll be encouraged to ask questions, investigate variances and work closely with operational stakeholders to understand the drivers behind performance.

Duties
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting and analysis
• Analyse labour costs, operational variances, yields and production performance
• Produce overhead reporting and departmental cost analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including labour modelling
• Investigate variances and work with operational teams to identify root causes
• Review and support cost standards and operational performance metrics
• Assist with capital expenditure analysis and investment appraisals
• Partner with non-finance stakeholders across manufacturing and operations
• Provide insight that supports continuous improvement initiatives and business performance improvements

You will ideally have:

• Experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The confidence to challenge, investigate and ask questions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to get involved operationally
• Experience within manufacturing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential
• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) or a desire to continue studying, with study support available
