Main Duties:

As a Management Accounts Assistant, your main duties include:

• Supporting budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting across the business
• Contributing to the year-end close down process and the preparation of final accounts
• Undertaking a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks and analysis as required
• Assisting with the preparation of grant claims and statutory/statistical returns
• Delivering a responsive, helpful service to internal teams through clear financial reporting
• Supporting the ongoing development of financial systems and controls
• Providing cover for colleagues during annual leave and periods of sickness

Location / Office / Culture

This part time role is based in Shrewsbury, working 22 hours per week. What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working within a financial or office environment
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Confidence using Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work accurately, methodically, and to deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• AAT qualified, or working towards a relevant qualification
• Previous experience of budget monitoring and reporting
• Experience with financial or ERP systems
