Financial Controller

• Financial Controller: £90,000 to £120,000 plus 20% bonus
• Hybrid working: 3 days office, 2 days home, London
• Leading a 10+ finance team
• Reporting to the Finance Director, UK and Europe
• Flexible start date, September or October preferred

The Client

A well established, privately owned global consumer brand with several hundred people worldwide. Highly profitable and several years into strong growth, with European expansion now underway.

The Role

This Financial Controller role is newly created. You will lead a finance team of 12+, owning financial control end to end across a multi entity, multi currency operation.

What You Will Own

• Month end and year end close, balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting and audit
• Full ownership of AP and AR, including payment runs and banking controls
• Inventory accounting: valuation, movement tracking and reconciliation
• The internal controls framework, strengthened through an ongoing ERP programme
• Recruiting, onboarding and developing the team as European expansion adds entities and volume
• Partnering with IT, BI and FP&A to embed and optimise the ERP

What We Are Looking For

• A Financial Controller with experience leading an in house finance team of 10 or more
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), three or more years in a comparable Financial Controller role
• Background in a product business (retail, consumer goods, FMCG) with inventory exposure
• Strong IFRS knowledge and a track record designing internal controls at scale
• International, multi currency, multi entity experience
