Financial Controller

This Financial Controller role within the manufacturing industry focuses on managing the day-to-day financial operations to ensure smooth business functioning. You'll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, as well provide financial insights to guide the MD's decision-making, and also manage a small team.

Description

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to support business objectives.
• Oversee cash flow management and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Lead the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making at senior levels.
• Manage and develop the finance team to optimise performance.
• Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and procedures.

Profile

The successful applicant should have:

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact at all levels.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £70,000 to £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
