£30,000+ AAT Study Support Accountancy Practice Essex

Are you an Accounts Assistant with previous accountancy practice experience looking to take the next step in your career?

A well-established and supportive accountancy practice is seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently studying AAT, or looking to continue their AAT qualification, with full study support available.

The Role

You will work closely with senior members of the team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting duties, including:

• Bookkeeping for a range of clients
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
• Liaising with clients and responding to queries
• Supporting senior accountants with ad hoc accountancy duties
• Use of cloud-based software such as Xero and QuickBooks

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Experience using accounting software, ideally Xero or QuickBooks
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• AAT qualification or currently studying AAT
• A desire to build a long-term career within accountancy practice
