Payroll Specialist

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing end-to-end payroll for around 600 staff across multiple payrolls
• Handling starters, leavers, and manual salary calculations
• Processing statutory payments and pensions
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Delivering business-as-usual payroll with a focus on quality assurance
• Suggesting and implementing process improvements once you're up to speed
• Supporting project-based work to streamline payroll operations

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar payroll role (such as Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, or Bureau Payroll)
• End-to-end payroll processing experience is essential
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables
• Experience with Sage 50 is desirable
• A proactive approach and the ability to get the job done
