This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join a growing and supportive finance team.

Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while continuing to develop your knowledge and experience.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic role for someone who is AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA, with a genuine desire to progress into a Management Accountant or more senior finance position in the future.

You will gain valuable exposure across a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the month-end and year-end processes
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Supporting cash flow reporting
• Investigating variances and providing financial analysis
• Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider business
• Supporting continuous improvement projects and the development of finance processes

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or actively studying towards a professional qualification
• An ambitious and motivated finance professional looking to develop their career
• Ideally experienced within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Comfortable working with Excel and financial systems
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Keen to learn, take on new responsibilities and develop professionally
• A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
