Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and organised Accounts & Operations Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a varied role combining accounting responsibilities with day-to-day operational and office support.

The Role

Working closely with the Group Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and posting month-end journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Supporting financial reporting and Excel data analysis.
• Processing petty cash and assisting with audit requirements.
• Checking daily and monthly sales data and preparing tenant recharges.
• Supporting payroll administration, including timesheets, absences and missed clockings.
• Reviewing import invoices, Bills of Lading and customs documentation.
• Managing office supplies, consumables and shared inboxes.
• Supporting office facilities and coordinating fire safety procedures.

About You

You will have previous experience within an accounts or finance environment, with a strong eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.

You should have:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar accounting system.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
• A good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accrual accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues, tenants and external partners.
