Payroll Specialist

Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation near Basingstoke in the search for a Payroll Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive finance team, with exposure to both payroll and wider finance responsibilities.

The Role

You'll take ownership of payroll administration for a portfolio of clients, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering an excellent level of customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, processing and checking end-to-end payrolls
• Managing starters, leavers and employee payroll changes
• Processing Auto Enrolment and pension uploads
• Producing payslips and completing RTI, FPS/EPS and HMRC submissions
• Administering statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
• Handling payroll queries professionally and efficiently
• Supporting year-end payroll processes including P60s and P11Ds
• Assisting the finance team with purchase invoices and bank reconciliations during busier periods

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

You'll ideally have:

• 1-2 years' experience across the full payroll lifecycle
• A payroll qualification (or be studying towards one)
• Experience using BrightPay payroll software
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• The ability to manage deadlines with a high level of accuracy
• Accounts payable experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential
