Head of Finance - Business Partnering

A senior finance leadership role partnering Operations and technical leadership teams within a complex manufacturing environment. You'll combine strategic business partnering, operational finance and manufacturing cost expertise to drive performance, support business transformation and influence key operational decisions.

Description

• Act as the senior finance partner to Operations and Technical leadership teams.
• Drive financial performance across manufacturing and operational functions.
• Support major business transformation and operational change initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities.
• Deliver insightful analysis on business performance, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Provide financial leadership on supplier strategy, sourcing decisions and operational risk management.
• Own and enhance manufacturing cost reporting, standard costing and variance analysis processes.
• Develop investment appraisals and business cases supporting strategic projects and capital expenditure.
• Drive accountability through meaningful KPI reporting and performance management.
• Maintain a visible presence within manufacturing operations and engage closely with site leadership.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and decision-support capabilities across the business.

Profile

A successful Head of Finance - Business Partnering should have:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or technology-led environments.
• Strong operational finance and business partnering credentials.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting manufacturing transformation, operational change or supply chain initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting strategic business decisions.
• Experience partnering operational, engineering or technical functions.
• Excellent analytical, financial modelling and planning capabilities.
• Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on within a manufacturing environment.
