Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for greater exposure to complex advisory work while continuing to manage an interesting and high-quality client portfolio?

Fletcher George is working with a highly regarded independent accountancy and tax practice in Leatherhead with an excellent reputation for Private Client Tax. The firm advises High Net Worth Individuals, Non-Domiciliaries, Trusts, Estates, Directors of owner-managed businesses and clients with international interests, providing an excellent blend of complex compliance and advisory work.

Working closely with experienced Tax Partners, you will manage your own portfolio, develop trusted long-term client relationships and support more junior members of the team. There is also genuine scope to broaden your advisory expertise and continue progressing your career within a growing Tax function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of Private Client Tax clients.
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment Tax Returns, Partnership Returns, Trust and Estate Tax Returns.
• Managing technically complex compliance work and identifying relevant tax planning opportunities.
• Working on a broad range of Private Client Tax advisory assignments.
• Reviewing the work of junior colleagues and supporting active studiers with their development.
• Working closely with the Tax Partners on more complex client matters.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and acting as a trusted Tax Adviser.
• Supporting new client onboarding and contributing to the continued development of the Tax team.

About You

You will ideally be:

• CTA qualified.
• Experienced within a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Technically strong across Private Client Tax compliance.
• Experienced in advisory work, or keen to develop further in this area.
• Comfortable reviewing the work of colleagues and mentoring junior team members.
• Confident communicating directly with clients and building long-term relationships.
• Proactive, organised and committed to providing a high standard of client service.

Experience across areas such as Trusts and Estates, Charitable Trusts, High Net Worth Individuals, Non-Domiciliaries and owner-managed businesses would be particularly relevant.
