Cameron James Professional Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker to join a highly successful and expanding estate agency and financial services business in Basildon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious mortgage professional seeking a role with strong earning potential, a consistent flow of warm leads and genuine career progression. Working Hours

Five days per week, including Saturdays, with two Saturdays off per month.

Monday to Friday: 08:30-17:30

Saturday: 09:00-17:00

The Role

As a Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker, you will work closely with established estate agency branches, providing mortgage and protection advice to customers purchasing, moving or remortgaging their homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional mortgage and protection advice tailored to individual customer needs.
• Managing mortgage applications from initial consultation through to completion.
• Building strong relationships with customers, estate agency colleagues and introducers.
• Converting warm leads and appointments into completed mortgage and protection business.
• Identifying opportunities from existing customers, remortgages and referrals.
• Promoting suitable insurance and protection solutions, including Legal & General products.
• Liaising with lenders, underwriters and administration teams to progress applications.
• Working collaboratively with estate agency colleagues to maximise business opportunities.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and FCA compliance.
• Achieving individual and team performance targets.

Candidate Requirements

• CeMAP 1 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven mortgage advisory experience, with CAS status preferred.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A motivated, target-driven and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage a busy appointment diary.
• A professional attitude and a genuine desire to develop a successful career in mortgage advice.
