Payroll Administrator
Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Working pattern: Hybrid working available
Salary: Up to £30,000

Outsource UK are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a global manufacturing company based in Ormskirk.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a collaborative team and provide a high-quality payroll and HR administration service across UK operations.
The successful candidate will support specific areas of the business while working flexibly as part of a team, taking responsibility for accurate and timely payroll processing and administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly changes to pay-related data using SAP.
• Complete a range of payroll and HR transactions, including new starters, leavers, transfers and maternity leave.
• Close and check payroll using relevant payroll reports.
• Complete full reconciliation of all payroll elements.
• Carry out the BACS process, including the creation and verification of payroll BACS extracts.
• Complete appropriate Real Time Information (RTI) reporting.
• Provide payroll information and reports to other functions, including Finance and Pensions.
• Liaise with HMRC where appropriate.
• Manage payrolling of benefits.
• Respond to employee payroll and HR administration queries.
• Process employee requests to update personal information, such as home addresses.
• Produce ad hoc reports for management as required.
• Work consistently within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

About You

• Proven experience of running payroll within a professional environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
• Experience working with payroll systems; SAP experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A flexible, proactive and positive "can-do" attitude.
• The ability to follow established processes while also identifying opportunities for improvement.
• A strong understanding of internal customer service and service quality expectations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels.
• The ability to take ownership of objectives and deliver against targets.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive within a team environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
