Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm (Early Finish!)

Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Scunthorpe that is looking to add a Finance Assistant to its small, friendly, and supportive finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional seeking a varied role within a welcoming working environment, offering a great work-life balance with an early finish every Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Assistant, your duties will include:

• Processing invoices onto the Purchase Ledger
• Raising supplier payments
• Allocating supplier payments
• Reconciling supplier accounts and payments
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Maintaining and updating customer records
• Providing general Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger administration
• Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to emails
• Supporting the wider finance function with administrative tasks as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Accounts Administration position
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive and professional approach to work
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office applications

Experience using Oracle or NetSuite would be a distinct advantage, although this is not essential.
