Location: Wilmslow

Working Arrangements: Hybrid and flexible working

The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants based in Wilmslow is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Senior.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team, preparing personal tax returns for a specialist client base that includes GPs, hospital doctors and their spouses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional seeking a stable position with a genuinely accommodating employer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting personal tax returns for individuals
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including GPs, hospital doctors and their spouses
  • Handling day-to-day personal tax queries from clients
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve outstanding matters
  • Ensuring returns are completed accurately and within the required deadlines
  • Maintaining up-to-date client records
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice
  • Supporting clients with general personal tax matters as required

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar personal tax role is essential
  • Experience preparing personal tax returns within an accountancy practice
  • Strong personal tax knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident and professional client communication skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with medical professionals would be advantageous, although it is not essential

Working Hours and Flexibility

The firm is ideally looking for someone on a full-time basis; however, it can also accommodate:

  • A four-day working week
  • Shorter working days
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Hybrid working

Employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their working time in the Wilmslow office. Most hybrid team members currently work three days in the office and two days from home.
