Role Summary:

A fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Adviser to join a high-performing team, providing close support to Sales Managers and Advisers while working towards full adviser status and, ultimately, Chartered Financial Adviser status. You'll join a structured 6 to 12 month training and assessment programme (timing dependent on your qualifications, skills and pace of development), fully supported by a dedicated mentor and your wider team, with the goal of building you into a competent adviser in your own right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing background notes and meeting materials, including presentation slides, ahead of client meetings

• Attending client meetings and taking accurate notes in line with best practice

• Updating and maintaining client information, including asset and income schedules

• Supporting advisers with policy information, valuation research and other background work

• Preparing follow-up communications and agreed actions for clients

• Submitting handovers to the administration team and tracking the client journey through to completion

• Preparing briefing notes and client correspondence on behalf of authorised advisers

• Supporting core administrative tasks across back-office systems

• Handling client calls and queries in a timely, professional manner

• Taking full ownership of meeting scopes following client meetings

• Using cash flow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant) during client meetings

• Progressively developing the ability to lead client meetings independently (discovery, presentation, review)

• Supporting the wider team with inbound queries, meeting preparation and post-meeting activity

• Booking client calls and meetings on behalf of advisers

Requirements:

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice (minimum requirement, essential)

• Previous experience within an IFA or private wealth management environment

• Demonstrable exposure to client meetings, with evidence of active client engagement

• Exposure to cash flow planning tools (e.g. Voyant) beneficial

• CII qualifications preferred, or a willingness to work towards conversion

• Long-term ambition to become a Chartered Financial Adviser

• Ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information simply

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the drive to manage your own study and development

• Good IT skills, including MS Office, Outlook, Excel and back-office systems

• A full UK driving licence is desirable

If you're an experienced paraplanner or junior level adviser looking to progress your career with genuine support and a clear route to becoming a fully authorised, Chartered Financial Adviser, we'd love to hear from you.
