Management Accountant (Part-Time)

Location: Epsom
Hours: Part-Time (3 days per week)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 FTE (pro rata, depending on experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a growing organisation on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified finance professional looking for a flexible role where they can make a significant impact on business performance and decision-making.

Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing valuable commercial insights to help drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Produce variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor key performance indicators and identify trends.
• Assist with year-end preparations and liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Support payroll, VAT returns, and statutory reporting where required.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

About You

• AAT qualified, part-qualified, or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of management reporting and month-end processes.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage priorities effectively.
• Experience working in an SME environment is advantageous.
