Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading business operating within the renewable energy sector. Experiencing rapid growth across the UK and Europe, the company is investing heavily in its finance function and offers genuine career development within a business at the forefront of the transition to sustainable energy.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO, you'll take ownership of the UK finance function while supporting international operations, giving you broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial finance and business partnering.

The Role
You'll be responsible for:

Owning the month-end process and management accounts for the UK business
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow forecasts
Managing intercompany accounting, FX reporting and compliance
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
Partnering with operational teams to provide commercial insight
Supporting European subsidiaries and group reporting
Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting
Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls
About You

We're looking for someone who has:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience
Excellent Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach
The confidence to build relationships across the business
Experience within a multi-entity or group environment (desirable)
