| Description: | Senior FP&A Manager Aberdeen Hybrid - c.3 Days in the Office £100,000 + Bonus This could be a brilliant time to join a global business going through a significant period of organic growth. We're partnering with an established international services business with operations spanning multiple continents and ambitious plans to grow significantly over the coming years. There's a huge amount happening across the business. They're expanding organically, operating in markets seeing significant investment and continuing to develop how finance supports an increasingly complex international organisation. As part of that journey, they're creating a brand-new Senior FP&A Manager position. This isn't a role where everything is already perfect and you're simply being brought in to run an established process. There is loads to build, improve and shape. They want someone who can help take FP&A to the next level - improving the foundations, creating consistency across a global business and ultimately helping the function become a much more proactive, forward-looking commercial partner. For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of the business's next stage of growth. The Opportunity Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you'll join a lean global FP&A team with significant exposure across the organisation. The first 3-6 months will be about getting under the skin of the business. Understanding the data. Understanding how different regions report. Improving master data. Creating greater consistency. Simplifying reporting. Getting the right structures in place. Once those foundations are established, the role will increasingly move towards commercial FP&A and business partnering, with the expectation that around 75% of the position ultimately becomes focused on partnering with the business. You'll:
Who Are We Looking For? This is where the brief gets interesting. International experience is really important. You don't need to have lived overseas, and we're not fixated on a particular industry. You do, however, need to understand the complexity that comes with working inside a large, international and multi-layered organisation. Different regions. Different business lines. Different finance teams. Shared Services. Multiple stakeholders. Different ways of doing things. You need to be comfortable joining that environment, understanding where the genuine issues are and knowing what actually needs fixing. The business moves quickly, with a high volume of activity and priorities that can change daily, weekly and monthly. Sector experience isn't the deciding factor; experience operating successfully in that type of fast-moving environment is much more important. You'll also need to be someone who enjoys systems, data and how things work behind the scenes. This isn't pure commercial business partnering from day one. You need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up, understand where the numbers come from, improve the underlying data and reporting, and build the foundations that allow FP&A to become more commercially valuable. Then you need to be equally comfortable taking that information and sitting in front of senior leadership to explain what it means and what they should do about it. Wish List
Why Join? Because the timing is excellent. This is an established international business, but there is still so much opportunity to improve and build. The company has ambitious organic growth plans and operates across a diverse range of global markets. The FP&A function has already been stabilised; this hire is about helping take it through the next stage of its evolution. You'll have:
