Are you an experienced Commercial Account Executive with a background in commercial insurance sales, insurance broking, client management or business development?

We are recruiting for a Commercial Account Executive to join a growing UK Retail Sales team based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, with a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Insurance Account Executive, Insurance Broker, Account Executive or experienced Commercial Insurance Sales professional looking to develop their career within a growing and successful insurance business.

You will play a key role in new business development, client retention, account growth and revenue generation, while acting as a trusted adviser to commercial insurance clients and helping businesses navigate their changing insurance and risk requirements.

The Role - Commercial Insurance Account Executive

As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing commercial insurance clients and identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, generating and winning new commercial insurance business.
• Managing, retaining and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with commercial clients, prospects and insurer partners.
• Acting as a trusted commercial insurance adviser to clients.
• Leading commercial insurance renewal and placement discussions.
• Negotiating competitive and appropriate commercial insurance solutions for clients.
• Identifying opportunities for account development, cross-selling and increased client retention.
• Understanding clients' evolving business risks and recommending appropriate insurance products and solutions.
• Building a strong pipeline of new business and commercial insurance opportunities.
• Working collaboratively with Broking Operations, Account Handlers and specialist insurance teams to deliver excellent client service.
• Contributing to business development, client retention, revenue and growth objectives.
• Supporting the continued growth and success of the wider UK Retail Sales team.

About You - Commercial Insurance Sales & Account Executive Experience

We are keen to hear from commercially minded and relationship-focused insurance professionals with experience in commercial insurance sales, account management, client management or insurance broking.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience within commercial insurance sales, commercial insurance broking, client management or an Account Executive role.
• A proven ability to develop new business and generate commercial opportunities.
• Experience managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
• Confidence identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products, risks and insurer markets.
• A customer-focused and commercially driven approach.
• The ability to understand client requirements and deliver appropriate commercial insurance solutions.
• A genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships and business growth.

Professional qualifications such as Cert CII or Dip CII would be advantageous. However, qualifications are not the only consideration - we are particularly interested in ambitious, commercially minded individuals who are passionate about insurance sales, client relationships, business development and delivering excellent customer service.
