Financial Accountant

Fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within an established manufacturing group based in North Kent. This role is office-based and would suit a career

driven, qualified accountant who takes ownership and works closely with the Head of Finance and the parent Group. Duties include:-

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant Role:-

• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Prepare statutory accounts and support external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Develop and enhance financial models to support business decision-making.
• Analyse financial performance, challenge underlying assumptions and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of group reporting processes.
• Produce high-quality financial reports and presentations for senior management.

Requirements of the Financial Accountant Role:-

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
• Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
• Essential to have proven experience with the manufacturing sector or strong exposure to cost accounting
• Car owner driver
