Commercial Finance Manager

Axon Moore are supporting a leading manufacturing business in the Pontefract area to recruit a Commercial Finance Manger. This friendly, supportive and successful business is renowned for producing high-quality products and has a long standing, loyal customer base.

As the Commercial Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key part in helping to expand and shape the role as the business grows and develops under the guidance of the FD and with the support of the established finance team. The company is in an exciting phase of development introducing state of the art technology to improve and create reporting from various systems in order to present them in clear and concise way.

Responsibilities will include:

• Business partnering with senior management, operational and commercial teams as well as the business' key customers
• Present and communicate information internally to finance and non-finance colleagues
• Reviewing performances and creating reliable and accurate financial and M.I reports to add value to those areas
• Cost modelling and review of costing submissions
• Provide detailed analysis of product/customer profitability and margins
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process

Requirements for this role:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) or QBE
• Experience within a commercial finance role preferably within a manufacturing business
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Proven performance of adding value & driving efficiencies / cost savings
• Self-disciplined and motivated with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work collegiately with colleagues from different areas and disciplines within the same business
• Strong knowledge and experience of IT systems to improve business performance generally and in regard to developing / improving reporting efficiencies
