An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a fast-growing and ambitious organisation during an exciting period of continued growth. You'll play a key role within the finance function, taking responsibility for the preparation of accurate and compliant financial reporting while working closely with teams across the wider business.

The role will provide exposure across statutory reporting, month-end and year-end processes, audit, budgeting and forecasting, alongside opportunities to support improvements across the wider finance function. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
• Work closely with internal teams to gather and analyse financial information, providing accurate and insightful reporting to support business decision-making.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, transaction reviews and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Support the external audit process by preparing relevant documentation, responding to queries and liaising with auditors to ensure an efficient and timely review.
• Monitor changes to accounting standards and regulations, supporting updates to internal processes and procedures where required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, ensuring transactions are appropriately supported and comply with internal policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to investigate and resolve discrepancies and promote best practice across financial reporting.

What the successful candidate will bring

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Previous experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit or a similar technical accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills.
