We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy and collaborative finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong supplier relationships and ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in maintaining the purchase ledger, managing supplier accounts and helping to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day finance activities.

The Role

This position will suit someone who thrives in a detail-focused role and takes pride in delivering accurate work while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
• Maintain supplier accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve queries efficiently.
• Reconcile statements and ensure outstanding items are addressed promptly.
• Assist with scheduled payment runs and support cashflow management activities.
• Build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support month-end activities and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure financial records are maintained to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
• Provide general support across the finance department as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong transactional finance experience with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Ideally, you will have:

• At least 3 years' experience within Accounts Payable or a similar finance position.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Experience using finance or accounting systems.
• A methodical approach with excellent levels of accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Desirable:

• Previous experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1).
