Looking to take your tax career further into M&A and transactions? I'm working with an established and growing accountancy practice in London that is looking to strengthen its tax advisory offering with an experienced M&A Tax Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong corporate tax background who wants to build on their transaction experience and work on a broad range of interesting deals. You'll work closely with Partners and Directors, advising shareholders, management teams, investors and businesses throughout the transaction lifecycle.
The role
You'll be involved across a varied range of M&A tax assignments, including:
Advising on the tax implications of acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations
Supporting clients throughout the transaction lifecycle
Undertaking tax due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions
Identifying key tax risks and opportunities within transactions
Supporting transaction structuring and tax planning
Working closely with corporate finance, legal and other professional advisers
Preparing and reviewing tax analysis and transaction reports
Advising entrepreneurial businesses, shareholders and institutional investors
Working alongside Partners and Directors on complex and high-value transactions
Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser
Supporting business development and identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients
Coaching and developing more junior members of the team
What they're looking for
You don't need to tick every box, but ideally you'll have:
Strong UK corporate tax experience
Experience within a professional services or accountancy environment
Previous exposure to M&A tax, transaction tax or tax due diligence
A strong understanding of corporate tax legislation
Experience working on transactions and advising clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
The ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines
CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification would be advantageous
A commercially minded approach and genuine interest in transaction advisory
