Legal Accounts Manager / Finance Manager (COFA)

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Accounts Manager or Finance Manager to oversee the firm's finance function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, whilst undertaking the role of Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) as part of their wider position.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day legal accounts and financial operations.
• Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
• Monitoring client account transactions and reconciliations.
• Producing financial reports and management information.
• Identifying and reporting any financial compliance issues.
• Undertaking COFA responsibilities and supporting regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Previous legal accounts, finance management or legal cashier management experience.
• Strong knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
• Experience within a legal practice environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Stable employment history.
