Accounts Manager(Senior Accountant)-pivotal role in thriving firm

The Opportunity

Reed Practice has partnered exclusively with the Principal Partner to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. This is a client management role rather than a people management position, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality accountancy services.

Working alongside a knowledgeable and experienced team, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients and providing a broad range of accounting and tax services.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing proactive advice and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Producing accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries efficiently.
• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns associated with client accounts.
• Supporting bookkeeping activities and the production of management accounts.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant accounting qualification, such as AAT, ACA or ACCA.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong experience preparing accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and build trusted client relationships.
