Description:	TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded, multisited firm of chartered accountants in its search for a Bookkeeper and Payroll Advisor to join its Marlborough office. This is a varied position for someone who is comfortable providing both bookkeeping and payroll services to a portfolio of owner managed businesses. The role offers a good balance of regular client work and would suit an organised individual who enjoys building positive, long term relationships. Responsibilities will include: Completing bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers Processing bank transactions and completing reconciliations Preparing and submitting VAT returns Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls Calculating statutory payments, pensions and deductions Preparing payslips and payroll reports Managing starters, leavers and changes to employee details Completing relevant payroll submissions Responding to bookkeeping and payroll queries Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met RequirementsThe ideal candidate will: Have previous bookkeeping and payroll experience Ideally have worked within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau Possess a good understanding of VAT and bookkeeping principles Be familiar with payroll legislation and workplace pension requirements Have experience using bookkeeping and payroll software Demonstrate excellent accuracy and attention to detail Be organised and comfortable managing recurring deadlines Communicate confidently and professionally with clients Be qualified by experience or hold a relevant qualification BenefitsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and supportive firm offering a stable, varied position and good quality client exposure.
