Senior Accountant

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with an award-winning, advisory-focused firm of Chartered Accountants as they continue to grow their team.

Rather than simply managing a larger portfolio, you'll spend meaningful time reviewing, challenging and improving work, stepping into preparation where required and using your experience to help others develop.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and consolidated groups, providing accounts, tax and wider advisory support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and overseeing statutory and management accounts
• Reviewing self-assessment, corporation tax and partnership tax returns
• Preparing and reviewing dividend and interest planning calculations
• Managing client relationships and providing clear, professional advice
• Identifying opportunities to add value across the client portfolio
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members on a day-to-day basis
• Supporting the Team Manager with team development
• Resolving internal and external queries
• Liaising with auditors and responding to technical accounting queries
• Reviewing complex group consolidations and statutory reporting

The firm's clients are predominantly founders, directors and owner-managed businesses who expect accurate numbers, clear answers and commercially relevant advice.

The work isn't templated, and no two clients are the same. Your technical judgement will genuinely matter, with your review representing the final quality check before work reaches the client.
