Account Executive

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our growing team in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships while developing new business.

You'll inherit an established portfolio of commercial clients generating approximately £250,000 in annual income, providing a strong platform from day one. Your focus will be on retaining and developing this existing client base, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and generating new business to continue growing your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an inherited commercial insurance portfolio worth approximately £250,000 GWP/income.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular contact and proactive account management.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional insurance products and risk management solutions.
• Generate new business through networking, referrals, and your own business development activity.
• Work closely with internal broking and claims teams to deliver exceptional client service.
• Negotiate with insurers to obtain the best cover and terms for clients.
• Ensure all client documentation and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high levels of client retention while achieving growth targets.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Executive, Development Executive, or Corporate Account Executive.
• A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong commercial insurance knowledge across a range of products.
• A track record of winning and retaining business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
• Cert CII qualification (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
