Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of accounts, managing outstanding balances, supporting cash flow and resolving queries promptly. Working closely with senior stakeholders and clients, you'll play an important role in achieving positive collection outcomes while contributing to the continued improvement of the credit control function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who is commercially aware, confident managing challenging conversations and enjoys building positive relationships within a collaborative team.

The responsibilities:

• Manage outstanding balances and drive timely payment collection
• Monitor aged debt and proactively follow up overdue accounts
• Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Investigate account queries and resolve issues efficiently
• Agree payment arrangements and escalate higher-risk accounts where required
• Maintain accurate records, account notes and credit control information
• Support cash allocation, reconciliations and collection reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and procedures

The candidate:

• Previous experience in Credit Control or a similar finance position
• Confident managing difficult conversations and negotiating payment solutions
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, resilient and able to work independently and as part of a team
