Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Performance Bonus

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious Financial Consultant to join a growing financial consultancy supporting businesses with financial analysis, commercial decision-making and funding strategy.

This is not a traditional banking role. You will work across real commercial situations, helping clients understand their financial position, assess potential funding routes and make better-informed business decisions.

The position offers exposure to businesses across multiple sectors and is particularly suited to someone who enjoys combining financial analysis with communication, problem-solving and commercial thinking.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing company financial information, management accounts and cash-flow positions.
• Building and interpreting financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Supporting clients in understanding their financial and commercial position.
• Assessing business funding requirements and researching suitable commercial funding options.
• Preparing financial summaries, reports and presentations.
• Comparing commercial finance structures based on cost, term, security requirements and business objectives.
• Conducting market, company and sector research.
• Supporting senior consultants with more complex client assignments.
• Liaising with lenders, finance providers and other professional parties where appropriate.
• Helping businesses prepare information required when approaching potential finance providers.
• Identifying financial risks, cash-flow pressures and potential areas for commercial improvement.
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring work is completed in accordance with internal compliance procedures.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates with backgrounds in areas such as:

Finance Economics Accounting Banking Business Financial Management Investment & Risk Data Analysis

You should have:

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• A good understanding of financial statements and commercial finance.
• The confidence to communicate financial information clearly.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, or the willingness to develop them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in how businesses operate.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage several pieces of work simultaneously.

Previous consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential for candidates entering through the graduate or trainee pathway.
