Accounts Manager / Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy are currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager/Management Accountant in Maldon

• Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (part-time/school hours may be considered, hybrid can be considered)
• Salary: £35,000 per annum + benefits + discretionary bonus
• Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, finish early on a Friday

Working within a small team, the Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial policies and management information systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies, and maintaining effective communication channels to inform management about all aspects of company finance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Analyse financial data to assist in improving profitability and growth.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, expenditure, cash flow forecasts, and tax returns.
• Maintain day-to-day management of the company's finances and oversee all accounting procedures and systems.
• Manage company supplier payments, including daily entry of supplier invoices, setting credit limits, and collection of monies owed.
• Conduct daily reconciliation of bank accounts, Sage Pay, PayPal, and Klarna.
• Handle monthly petty cash reconciliation.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts.
• Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including the calculation, presentation, and payment of VAT returns

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Relevant experience is essential
• Experience user of Sage
• Highly competent with solid commercial acumen.
