Senior Payroll Administrator

Salary: £30,000 £35,000
Location: Yeovil or Taunton
Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

An opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join an established outsourced payroll team, managing a portfolio of clients across multiple payrolls and frequencies.

There is a particular focus on supporting NHS and medical payroll clients, so previous public sector or NHS payroll experience would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Process multiple client payrolls across different frequencies.
• Manage an allocated portfolio and act as a key contact for clients.
• Process starters, leavers, statutory deductions, absences and pension contributions.
• Complete RTI submissions, BACS payments and payroll reporting.
• Support auto-enrolment and pension processing.
• Resolve payroll queries and advise clients on payroll processes and procedures.
• Review payroll information to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally within a bureau/outsourced environment.
• Public sector or NHS payroll experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing multiple payrolls and client portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of RTI, HMRC requirements, statutory deductions and pensions.
• Confident dealing directly with clients and resolving payroll queries.
• Iris Payroll Professional, PayCircle or Xero experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
