My client is a fast-growing chartered Accountants in Harrow, who are looking for an Audit, Accounts and Tax Supervisor to join their already successful team.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Audit, Accounts and Tax Supervisor role in Harrow:
Good technical skills in bookkeeping, tax, audit and accounts.
Be responsible for tasks which could range from accounts preparation (relating to Companies, Partnerships, LLP's and sole traders), completion of personal and partnership tax returns and computations, assisting clients with HMRC tax enquiries and other tax matters, completing P11D returns and any other special assignments and/or ad-hoc projects as required by the managers/partners.
Review and completion of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP and company accounts as well as income tax and corporation tax computations.
Completion of audits
Managing and dealing with staff matters including:
Supervision of staff
Develop and train seniors, semi-seniors & juniors
Undertake required training for all staff
Ensure that professional standards are maintained
Ensure that all assignments are completed to a high standard before passing them on for Manager review.
To act as primary contact for a portfolio of UK and international clients
Be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Identify risk matters and selling opportunities
Able to work with and understand any accounting/bookkeeping software.
Liaise with practice manager on progress for all jobs and cross selling opportunities.
Control cost budgets, meet reporting timetables and prepare key client reporting documents.
Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
Actively manage your self-development and continuing professional education.
Attend CPD courses or other professional courses as required by the firm.
Have a genuine interest in understanding your clients' businesses with the drive to deliver exceptional client service.
Ensure IRIS Practice Management is kept up to date in respect of all your assignments.
Be able to work well both as part of a team and also unsupervised.
Be prepared to travel when required.
The ideal candidate for this Audit, Accounts and Tax Supervisor Role in Harrow:
Accounting and finance or other relevant degree preferred but not essential
Good up-to-date CPE and recent developments in accounting standards
Experience of OMB's covering a range of industries
Computer packages - Excel, Word, Outlook, Sage Line 50, Iris, CCH Pro audit, VT
