Insurance Business Development Manager/Director - Construction/Real Estate

£50,000 - £80,000 base (negotiable), six figure package including bonus and car

This global broking firm have ambitious regional plans for their established Real Estate & Construction practice, offering the opportunity for a proven producer/development professional to lead ongoing growth in reward for a genuine 6 figure package including negotiable base salary and market leading bonus.

The Role

  • Joining the Construction and Real Estate practice, your focus is development of the UK regions (outside London) client portfolio, working with new prospects and existing clients (often household names, amongst the industry's largest) to secure long term commercial and corporate business based on project work and ongoing requirements.
  • Targeting mid-market and corporate business, you'll work with a range of clients and prospects from across construction and infrastructure; builders, developers, civil engineers, contractors and architects as well as investors or property owners and allied trades and professions.
  • You'll be comfortable with the industries buying processes and procedures, effectively engaging with multiple stakeholder to nurture trust and a position as market expert - you'll appreciate business isn't solely won on price and that your clients will require bespoke solutions.
  • As you'd expect with a global market leader, you (and your clients) will benefit from a market leading product and service portfolio, a robust insurer panel and support across administration, account handling, claims, risk management, marketing and broking/placement support.


  • You'll be an experienced insurance professional with a track record in a client facing role, winning and managing accounts within construction, engineering, real estate and associated industries.
  • You'll be comfortable discussing and advising on the challenges, risks and solutions required by clients in the world and versed in navigating the manner in which they procure services.
  • You'll be a polished professional, driven and ambitious and looking to develop with a global market leader.
  • ACII, NEBOSH or similar qualifications (or work towards) are preferred, but not essential.
