The time for our sector is now, and we are therefore looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.

Job Duties:

This role would suit a person with 5 years of experience, together with working in an SME environment. Part / fully qualified or qualified by experience supporting the Management Account to do:

  • Oversee all UK company accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including bank
  • P&L analysis
  • Understand transactions, the impact of journals, make correcting adjustments
  • Manage fixed asset register and depreciation
  • Develop accurate monthly accounts to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports
  • Agree on intercompany loans with overseas subsidiaries 
  • Oversea daily Banking transactions and reconciliation
  • Oversee fixed assets register, monthly depreciation
  • Reconciliation of company inventory and the creation of appropriate controls for future management and accounting. 
  • Performing Fixed Asset verifications on specific company assets and the creation of a fixed asset register.
  • Support the creation of fixed asset controls and group accounting policies. 
  • Prepare end-of-year reports and statements


  • Qualified (or finalist) or qualified by experience
  • Commercial and business awareness – data analysis skills and understanding of financials
  • Proven desire to work with data and attention to detail – strong excel and systems skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
