The front office of an investment bank or financial services company is the part of the business concerned with generating revenue - the corporate finance, sales and marketing functions. Financial services companies are traditionally broken up into three areas - the front office, the middle office - which manages risk and IT resource - and the back office which is responsible for all administration and support tasks.
