Job description

Transactions services are offered by accountancy practices (in many cases by the Big 4 - PwC, Deloitte, KPMG and Ernst and Young) and investment banks to companies that wish to carry out a transaction, such as the purchase or acquisition of another company or the sale of all or part of a business.

Many qualified accountants and financial specialists work in transaction services, along with management and business consultants and corporate finance specialists.

Typical transactions services include:

• Financial due diligence.
• Commercial due diligence.
• Market overviews and due diligence.
• Deal management, including deal structuring, bid support and defence and delivering best value and price for buyers and sellers.
• Business modelling.
