Assistant Management Accountant

SF are excited to be partnering exclusively with a growing business in Derby who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This role has come up due to progression. This is an exciting time to join the business whilst they are growing and perfect for someone who is in a similar role but looking for further development and progression.

Salary up to £35,000

Job duties:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Performing daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
- Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll journals
- Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Processing supplier invoices, bills and other financial transactions
- Supporting bookkeeping activities and ensuring accurate ledger maintenance
- Assisting with cashflow reporting and analysis
- Producing financial reports and supporting variance analysis
- Supporting audit requirements and providing information as required
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience within an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
- Strong month-end accounting knowledge
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
